This was presented at a Scottish Branch technical meeting on the 9th February 2016 by Dr. Michael Gordon of Mouchel.

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Techniques are particularly useful in determining changes in construction, thickness of material, location of voids, underground utilities, location of moisture within the layer and monitoring dowel bars.

Michael’s talk was explaining what equipment was available and how it worked, with particular emphasis on the processing software and analysis and calibration methods employed.
