Graham Rayner - Lifetime Achievement Award

We took the opportunity at our recent 2023 IAT and IQ Student Awards, held at the historic IET London, to present a Lifetime Achievement Award to Graham Rayner Hon. FIAT.

Graham having started working in the industry in 1946, was a founding member of our Institute, joining in March 1966. He is a past Branch Chair and Past-President.

Graham chaired the first conference at the Randolf Hotel and admits, “my corny first words were “it is appropriate to hold a Rhodes conference here in Oxford”.

President, Gearoid Lohan presented the award to Graham at the joint Fellows Lunch event, in the company of other Past-Presidents, Fellows of both our professional Institutes and the Student Award winners.
